Project: Refurbishment of five storey building

We were appointed to act as Client's Representative for the complex refurbishment of an existing 1970's building comprising office and ancillary accommodation together with 18 car parking spaces and a two bedroom flat.
The building's tenants remained in occupation throughout the phased refurbishment of the five floors where works included the stripping out of existing finishes and partitions and removing redundant mechanical, electrical and disused data services.
Following the stripping out, installation took place of replacement windows with solar shading, new partitions, internal fittings and new air conditioning associated with the replacement mechanical and electrical services. A new single storey twin entrance and an extension to the learning centre were both created at ground level.
The 32 week project was completed on time and within budget with minimum disruption to the Social Security staff as they continued to provide a full service to the public.
