We were engaged to project manage the design and construction of this internationally renowned company's principle corporate headquarters and to manage the relocation of 300 employees from six separate buildings into Wright's Lane within the exacting timescale.
The works included the removal of the atrium floor and part of the first floor, the removal of cladding from the front of the building, a new feature staircase, new wall-climber lifts and new glazing to the roof of the atrium.
Our significant challenge was to co-ordinate major structural alterations in what started as an ordinary concrete-framed building, to meet both the client's and architect's vision, all within the testing constraints of cost and programme.
During the process we absorbed a large number of different requirements into the project to meet the demands of the various service providers within the organisation, culminating in a building which meets all needs without compromising the original brief and values specified by the client.
